Laborer Position

Loganton Borough is accepting applications for a laborer. This is a part-time position. This position could be physically demanding. Duties include but are not limited to: lawn maintenance, general maintenance, and repairs of borough properties to include streets, sidewalks, and water systems. Will be expected to receive PA 1 Call and Flagger Certifications within one year of being hired. Certification will be paid for by the Borough. Hourly wage is determined by Borough Council.

Zoning Officer Position

Loganton Borough is accepting applications for a Zoning Officer. This is a part-time position. This position could be physically demanding. Duties include but are not limited to reviewing site plans, issuing zoning permits, keeping detailed records, answering public inquiries and making interpretations of Borough ordinances, Administering and enforcing Borough Ordinances, investigate and determine all violations, prepare and issue violation notices, respond to public inquires for information and/or complaints, provide documentation for zoning hearings, revise applications and forms as needed.

Requirements: Verbal and written communication skills, public relations, ability to deal effectively with difficult situations involving the general public, thorough understanding of Borough Zoning Ordinances, ability to read and understand sketches and site plans, ability to work independently, ability to express ideas effectively to the general public and Borough Council members, ability to prepare accurate forms, maintain accurate and detailed records, ability to enforce ordinances and regulations firmly, consistently, tactfully, and impartially.
